So as my site suggests, I am Daniel P. Craig, but you can just call me Dan. I grew up in the suburbs near Philadelphia and I have been creating art for as long as I could hold a pencil. It has been something I have always enjoyed doing and has stuck with me all my life.
In high school I was a member of stage crew where I helped with set design and construction for school plays. I then attended Rowan University where I got my Bachelor’s in Studio Art with a specialization in Graphic Design and a Minor in Art History. While there I took classes ranging from printmaking and 3D mediums to motion graphics and web design. Going into college I did not know much about graphic design, but by senior year I was the Art Director and Lead Designer for the student art publication, “The Gallery.” My classmates would say I was a bit of an overachiever but I’ve always enjoyed learning. I’m a fast learner and a hard worker. That said… I still have fun along the way! I love design because it’s always changing and there are new things around every turn. Currently, I am working at American Directory Systems as a graphic designer while still doing freelance work on the side when I can.
Good design is a balance between the artist’s perspective and the client’s intent. In other words, I learn what the client wishes to achieve with a project and then use my insight and skills to make that happen.
